Red and Yellow Trivet

In addition to the hot pad, I now made a trivet for my kitchen.

I didn’t follow any patterns but came up with my own. I used the same red and yellow mercerized cotton thread that I used for the hot pad.

Now I only need to crochet a tea pot cozy and, perhaps, a couple of dishcloths (if there will be enough thread), and I will have a complete red and yellow set for my kitchen.

  1. That's really pretty! It's fun to make up your own patterns, isn't it? I like how you put the single round of yellow between the wider orange sections!

  8. So pretty, I can get into these kinds of things, and have...LOL :) sometimes, it's nice to pick the hook with yarn, and sometimes it's nice to pick up the hook with Crochet Thread...I get equal enjoyment out of both....It's nice to switch off...
